![]() It would be a great new feature since it’s quicker taking photos on our phone camera them on locket. Sometimes there are moments that I want to share on locket but I dont have time to open up to the locket app to snap a picture. I think it would be very cool if we could upload pictures directly from the phones camera roll to the widget. We have been using it since late January and it’s been really cool to see how it’s evolved since then! I love that the developers actually listen to the suggestions in reviews to make the app better! I also love that I can see pictures of my friends and family and what they're doing throughout the day and start conversarion over it! I used to have many more suggestions but they were already added to the app so now I only have one. I love this app!! I saw an add for it on TikTok and downloaded it to use with my parents, my grandma, and my best friend. i’d love to see this replicated on locket! if that was the case, i could cycle through the photos i missed without clicking on the widget itself! just a fun feature idea for an already incredibly fun app :D i know you can scroll on some widgets (like widgetsmith) to reveal another photo / widget in the same place. one more suggestion, though i’m unsure how feasible it may be. i’m also echoing the sentiment of some other reviewers when i say that i’d love to get another widget for another group! so like group #1 and group #2, and so on- i don’t have a need for a widget of one “best friend” or one “crush,” i would instead love to showcase my friend groups. i also have SO much respect for the developers and i see that locket is always responding to reviews and taking our words into account, thank y’all! as for the app, i will say that it sometimes delays- sometimes it won’t show any of the most recent unless you click into the app and then the widget “refreshes”. I love this app and i adore its purpose □ it’s amazing to see a new photo of my friends/what they’re seeing each time i unlock my phone! it’s been even greater now that i can add more than 5 and 10 friends. Which I also recommend you do because it’s hard to fix something if you get the head proportions/angle wrong. Usually when I draw, I work on these things last. Image 2: For the sake of making this tutorial look more interesting, I went ahead and shaded the background, clothes and hair. I had to draw mine 3x darker because the scanned image showed up blank. Keep your under layer as faint as possible. Image 1: I used a blunt HB pencil to draw the outlines for the face. You can take this a little bit further by adding cast shadows as well. To do that, you can create a planar head/face of your subject, add a light source and shade the individual planes using solid tones or gradients relative to the direction and intensity of the light(s). Proper proportions aside, it is highly important that you figure out the lighting situation for the scene before you shade the face to identify patterns of light and be able to apply the right amount of value where appropriate. If you read my shading tutorial, you will need to apply your knowledge of light and your practice with planes in this section. Look for one that’s made in Spain and comes in a metal tin. ![]() This makes a world of difference and it’s best to use a high-quality spice here. ![]() One last note on flavouring: I strongly encourage you to use spicy, Spanish smoked paprika in this soup. To keep things Whole30, simply omit the maple syrup swirls. For an unexpected hit of flavour, I like to drizzle a few swirls of maple syrup overtop of each bowl right before serving. ![]() We dig a little bit deeper into those below.įor the purpose of this guide we are going to stick to the most foundational and “traditional” of the mailing services available from the United States Postal Service. Now, to be fair, different types of mail service solutions are going to offer different “mail delivery windows” that you can use to better ballpark along it’s going to take things to arrive. ![]() But that’s just the nature of the logistical machine that the USPS is built on top of. There’s always a little bit of variance across the board. Other folks might do the exact same thing and have that letter delivered a few days later – or even faster, even. Some people are able to drop a letter in their mailbox or drop one off at the local post office and have it delivered across town in a day or two. How Long Will My Mail Take to Be Delivered?Īs we just mentioned a moment ago, unless you purchase tracking information for every one of the letters you send through the mail (and that is pretty expensive in a hurry) there’s no real way to know exactly when your mail is going to arrive. It’s not possible for us to tell you exactly how long your letter is going to take to reach you or your intended recipient, but we certainly can ballpark things for you! In the rest of this detailed guide we dig a little bit deeper into the ins and outs of how long mail takes to arrive at its ultimate destination, depending entirely on a bunch of different unique factors. ![]() Thankfully though, most of us will never have to worry about our mail taking months or even years to get to us.įor the most part USPS mail services are lightning fast, getting to us inside of just a couple of days – especially if all you’re sending is a letter or a postcard. There are a lot of stories out there about packages or parcels, and letters that had been lost in the mail for years – even decades – before they were found and delivered by US mail carriers. The beautiful thing about the United States Postal Service is that it has a firm commitment to making sure that every letter and every package gets to its ultimate destination, no matter what it takes. ![]() Everyone loves to send and receive letters, getting something in the mail from a friend or family member that was thinking about them.Īt the same time, though, most people have an impression that the USPS is anything but a faster more efficient government agency.Īnd while there are definitely some reasons to be a little bit disappointed with the way that the USPS works at times, and there are certainly some delays that can’t be avoided, for the most part you won’t find another federal mail handling organization anywhere on the planet as well-run as this one. ![]() ![]() ![]() True, if first-century Jewish residents of the land of Israel used table napkins, and if there were such a custom as described, and if the handkerchief mentioned in John 20:7 were a table napkin, and if the Greek word entetyligmenon meant “having been folded” rather than “having been wrapped up,” then we might be able to swallow this. Apparently, the Greeks of old also used their hands for eating, since there are no ancient Greek words for “fork” and “spoon.” Summary ![]() ![]() He probably wouldn’t have wanted to dry his hands on anything, since while eating he used his fingers as spoon and fork. I suspect that after washing his hands Jesus didn’t dry them on his sleeve or another part of his garment. The folding of the napkin as a sign that a dinner guest was finished may be good European custom, but it appears this custom was unknown in the land of Israel in the time of Jesus. Washing of the hands before a meal was mandatory according to rabbinic injunction, but after washing their hands, did people dry them with a cloth? Apparently, there is no early rabbinic source that discusses how the hands were dried after washing them. Were napkins used in first-century Israel, that is, after a meal did people wipe their hands on a cloth to clean them?.The questions that come to mind upon hearing the explanation of “the folded napkin and the slave” are: The word translated “napkin” or “face cloth” in some translations of John 20:7, σουδάριον ( soudarion), is a Latin loanword, sudarium (see the entry σουδάριον in A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature.) It was a small cloth corresponding to the rabbinic מִטְפַּחַת ( miṭpaḥat), our modern “handkerchief.” In the New Testament the Greek word soudarion appears three other times: at Jesus’ command, Lazarus came forth from his tomb, his face wrapped with a soudarion (John 11:44) the slave whom his master entrusted with a mna hid it wrapped in a soudarion (Luke 19:20) and the handkerchiefs that were carried from Paul’s body, which contained the power to heal the sick and exorcize demons, were soudaria (the plural of soudarion) (Acts 19:12). ![]() To the readers, it sounds good, it feels good, and so it must be true. None cites a biblical or rabbinic source. (Try, for instance, a Google search for “napkin over the face of Jesus.”) Apparently, none of the perpetuators of this hoax offers any evidence for such assertions. Like an urban legend, such fanciful notions spread rapidly across the Internet, one author copying the words of another, but altering the text slightly and sometimes adding to it. He (the master, Jesus) is coming back! Hallelujah! David Bivin responds: For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, “I’m done.”īut if the master got up from the table, folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, “I’m not finished yet.” The folded napkin meant, “I’m coming back!” The servant would then know to clear the table. If the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.
